ABOUT CIRCOTEX

Circotex builds Europe’s most sustainable textile colouring factory by being the first in Europe to demonstrate the latest innovative technologies in the Metropolitan Region Amsterdam.

Circotex colours polyester yarns and fabrics without using water and added chemicals, by using less energy and reducing CO2 emissions compared to classic colouring techniques. By doing so, Circotex aims to meet the increasing demand in sustainable produced textiles, contribute to the European circular textile supply chain and ensure economic growth. We will initially focus on the automotive and technical textile markets, shortly after followed by the clothing industry.

Less pollution

The textiles industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. It is responsible for approximately 10% of global CO2 emissions.

An incredible amount of water and chemicals is used per kilo of textiles. This water is mostly used during the dyeing process. Circotex ensures a change in the production chain by developing a sustainable colouring processing without using water and added chemicals, leading to less pollution.

Circular and sustainable textile chain

Besides sustainable colouring techniques, Circotex also (co-)developed several interesting technologies in the field of mechanical and chemical cleaning. Further information on this will be released at the end of 2022.
